45th Annual Chester Fall Craft Festival Sept. 21-22, 2019

The 45th Annual Chester Fall Craft Festival will be held on September 21-22, 2019 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM. The Victorian painted ladies lining the Green in Chester, VT welcome over 60 vendors with unique items to their lovely lawn. Handmade crafts include wood products, glass, jewelry, photography, watercolors, fiber arts, pottery, quilts, soaps and more! A Children's Tent will have activities to entertain the little ones and Cheryl the Clown will be coming by. Discover the Beer Garden behind the Fullerton Inn on Saturday, stroll through the quaint Stone Village, explore local shops and galleries, and sample a wide variety of interesting food. Active children can also play at the elementary school playground and visit the disc golf course at the Pinnacle on Lover's Lane Road.

Become a Builder for the Fairy House Festival

Where else do knotholes become front doors, sea shells transform into bathtubs, and twigs get woven into ladders? Where else but the annual Fairy House Festival on September 28th and 29th! Registration is now open to become a builder in this year's Fest, a celebration of local community in our nature-based tradition. Open to individuals, groups, and local businesses, building a fairy house is creative, collaborative endeavor that awakens new awarenesses and always brings a sense of excitement and good cheer.

Black River Action Team 20th Annual RiverSweep & Raffle - September 7th

The Black River Action Team welcomes volunteers of all ages to lend a hand for the 20th Annual RiverSweep cleanup of the bed and banks of the Black River. Meet at the HQ table by the footbridge in the Springfield Shopping Plaza (2 Chester Road), sign in and pick a spot to clean. Grab trash bags and work gloves, fill your water bottle head out to see what you can find. Bring your junk back to HQ by 11 AM to help us sort and tally the "treasures," clean up and play a little "Junk Jam" while enjoying lunch. Don't forget to grab some chips donated by Deep River Snacks and your free BRAT tee shirt, as your 'thank you' for your time and effort.
