Big Woods Voices is excited to announce a performance to celebrate the release of their first CD, Poetry in Harmony. They will appear at the First Universalist Parish of Chester on Sunday, Nov. 6, at 3:00 p.m. Admission is a sliding scale, $10-$25 at the door. Masks will be required indoors.

This year finds food prices higher than ever and many in our community are struggling to keep food on the table. We believe that everyone deserves a bountiful holiday meal to share with family. The CAFC is determined to fulfill this belief. Please help us in two ways; with food or cash donations and by telling friends or neighbors about our Food Shelf.

Reservations are coming in for the Wreath-Decorating Workshops scheduled for November 17-19 in Willard Hall at St. Luke's Church, 313 Main Street (Route 11 West) in Chester, VT. Those who register and pay by Thursday, November 10 may take advantage of a $5 discount on the price of $50 per wreath, the same as the price for last year in spite of all costs having risen. Since the number of wreaths and workshop sessions is limited, it's important to reserve early to ensure a wreath and choice of workshop.

PLAY EVERY TOWN is coming to Chester, VT on Sunday, October 23, at 4 pm. The concert will be held at the First Universalist Parish, 211 North Street in Chester, VT. Join us for Concert #17 of 252 Community Concerts for a Cooler Climate with pianist David Feurzeig. Admission is Free. Donations will be accepted to benefit Vermont350 www.350vermont.org.

On Sunday October 9 at 9:30 AM, St. Luke's Episcopal Church - the gray church at 313 Main Street, a few doors west of the Fullerton Inn, in Chester, Vermont - will hold a Blessing of the Animals on its back lawn. Members of the public are invited to bring an animal with whom they live or work - or the photo of an animal about whom they care or are concerned.
