Spend your morning, Saturday, Sept. 10th, helping the Black River Action Team keep the local waterways free of garbage. Stop by the BRAT's registration table at Riverside Middle School, located at 13 Fairground Road in Springfield, VT, at or close to 8 AM to sign in, pick up supplies, and select a location to tackle. Head out with a buddy to collect trash, return with your "loot" by 11 AM to help tally and sort, then clean up in time for a donated and well-deserved lunch.

On September 17 and 18 Chester Townscape volunteers will again be selling spring-flowering bulbs at Chester's Fall Festival at a location between the Hearse House and the Information Booth. All bulbs are top quality, hardy, easy care, shunned by deer and voles, and expected to return year after year when grown in full or part sun and in well-drained locations. The different varieties of narcissus offered this year include early, mid, and late bloomers with a variety of colors and heights.

Since 2007, The Nature Museum in Grafton, Vermont has been welcoming visitors from across New England to its wondrous Fairy House Festival, a family-friendly celebration of nature, creativity, inspiration, and community.
