posted Saturday, February 23, 2019

The State Championships for Junior High and Junior Varsity wrestling kicked off on Saturday, February 16th. The gym at Spaulding High in Barre, VT was packed from 8AM until the finals wrapped up at 6:30PM. Excellent work was displayed, with each wrestler giving everything on the mat - coaches couldn't be prouder.

JH wrestlers: Marshall Simpson - 5th place; Trenton Rumrill - 5th place; Ayden Smith - 4th place; Cole Wright - 2nd place.

JV wrestlers: Bryan Stafford - 6th place (after injury knocked him from 3rd place); Tim Amsden - 2nd place; Skylar Wallace - 2nd place.

Also wrestling for Junior High was Armando Stettner, for JV Jeremy Curfman.

Coaches Don Beebe and Floyd Buck Jr. were assisted by John Stafford Jr and Bradley Bennett.
