posted Monday, March 23, 2015

The Springfield Community Chorus would like to invite area artists to participate in their Spring performance of Haydn's Creation. The chorus plans to produce a slide show of high quality images of area artist creations related to the theme "The Days of Creation" on which the musical piece is based. The Account of the creation story found in the Bible, Genesis, Chapter 1 and John Milton's Paradise Lost provides stirring options for visual representations. (Creation: Heavens and the Earth, Day/Night, Sun, Moon, Stars, Land/Sea, Plants, Animals (Birds, Fish of sea, All land animals, Man).

If you are interested in the chorus displaying your work, we will need a release signed for us to use your photo in a slide show.

In return for high quality photo of your paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, and other media that can be displayed, the chorus will offer free ad space in the concert program as well as mention in the credits of the production.

If your work is for sale, we will advertise. Please provide your business card or a design you would like used for your ad in the program.

Interested artists should contact Andie Bentley for more information. Email Andie at [email protected] or call (802) 298-0119.

Please consider helping present this multi-media production this Spring.

Deadline for submissions is April 30th. Our concert will take place on Saturday, June 6th at the Springfield High School in the evening. We have an orchestra, professional soloists, and an amazing chorus performing!
