Magic Happens in the Grateful Garden

Grateful Garden

Check out this amazing new sign that a has magically appeared at the Grateful Garden! It was created by and donated to the Garden by a woman named Carla Rumrill. Carla called CAES last Friday and said she had painted a new sign for the Grateful Garden and would it be ok to to hang it up. Apparently Carla realized our old sign needed an upgrade so she took it upon herself to do something about it and painted this amazing work of art.

I have never met Carla and just spoke to her for the first time this weekend before she hung up the sign. She said she lives nearby the school and told me she loves seeing the kids out in the garden.

This kind of heart touching experience is exactly why we call our school and community garden "The Grateful Garden." We are so grateful for good neighbors and to Carla & Gary Rumrill!
