Chester VT - Advent and Christmas services at St. Luke's Episcopal Church welcome visitors and worshipers who seek to renew their Christian faith and perhaps find a deeper meaning to Christmas. Advent is the season of preparation for the birth of Christ.

On Sunday, December 22, Advent IV, Rite I at 8 AM and Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10 AM are celebrated. Then at 4 pm a traditional service of Lessons and Carols is performed, followed by a covered dish supper in Willard Hall.

On Wednesday, December 24, Christmas Eve at 6:30 PM there will be Carol Singing immediately followed by The Festival Holy Eucharist Rite II at 7:00 PM, with child care available.

On Christmas Day, December 25, The Nativity of Our Lord, Holy Eucharist Rite II will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. And on following Sunday, December 29, the Holy Eucharist Rite I will be celebrated at 8:00 AM, and Rite II follows at 10:00AM as usual.

A complete listing of Christmas services can be found on the church website at www.stlukespeiscopal.org.
