Springfield Community Chorus Spring Concert

posted Thursday, April 11, 2013

Springfield (VT) Community Chorus, in its third season with Ken Olsson, is very pleased to announce that it has been selected to receive a grant making it so the orchestra for this concert will have been funded in part by a generous grant from the Choral Arts Foundation of the Upper Valley.

We are very thankful for this grant as the chorus is performing Mozart's "Requiem" and performing with an orchestra will greatly enhance the elements of our performances.

We also are pleased to announce our grant received from the Vermont Country Store whom also have helped to fund the orchestra for our concert.

The concert will also feature four soloists. Soloists are Katy Noelle Charlton, Julie Olsson, James Anderson, and Andrew Semegram.

This spring concert will be very inspirational as we present the beloved Mozart's "Requiem" as well as some other choral works by Mozart. You won't want to miss these outstanding performances on May 4 and May 5, 2013.

The Springfield Community Chorus will perform on May 4, 2013 at The Grafton White Church located at 55 Main Street in Grafton, VT at 7:00p.m. and on May 5, 2013 at First Congregational Church, UCC, located on Main Street in Springfield, VT at 3:00p.m. Both locations are handicapped accessible.

We do not charge admission for our concerts but we do ask for donations as you leave the concert. There are many expenses to the SCC that exceed our grant and we hope to continue to have many more joyful and rewarding concerts in the future.
