posted Wednesday, January 16, 2013

Come join the fun in Chester on President's Day Weekend, February 15-17, 2013 for the Chester Winter Carnival! The weekend kicks off with a dinner at the American Legion on Friday night, followed by a breakfast there on Saturday morning, to fuel up for the day's activities.

The sled races begin at 11:00 at the Pinnacle, with the winners racing for Olympic-style medals. New this year is the Cross-Country Ski Race, with skiers racing through the woods. Highlights for Saturday include Braeburn Sieberians once again offering free dog sled rides at the Pinnacle, beginning 12:00 noon. Beginning at 6:00, there will be an ice skating party, with DJ Sharon, a bonfire and a fire sculpture by noted carver, Barre Pinske.

The competition will be fierce on Sunday, at the Broom Hockey Tournament, beginning at 10:00 at Cobleigh Field. Fun for all ages!
