Creating and Sharing Stories with Bonnie and Lew Watters

posted Friday, August 16, 2013

On Saturday, August 24th Bonnie and Lew Watters will host their third and final 45th Celebration Event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Creating Doll Stories. They have invited writers, photographers, illustrators and artists to help children write a story about their doll. Delicious food will be offered all day for this free event, so guests and their dolls can come for any part of the day.

Bonnie, creator of Bonnie's Bundles Dolls, has been writing stories about her Bundles since the Watters' cross-country retirement journey in 2006. Like these two doll characters, one with real and one with motif eyes, they occupy The Gossip Chair. When no one is around the two get into mischief. Their adventures are warm and cozy and often include the family mascot, Silvio. As a preview, Bonnie offered a reading hour at the Whiting Library recently in the children's room. She read her stories and brought the characters to stir the children's imagination. Details are listed on special events on bonniesbundlesdolls.com.
