"A love for nature from realistic to abstract"

"I try to express my love for the outdoors using different media. Exploration, experimentation and problem solving are port of the painting process. The patterns of color and shape seen in nature continuously intrigue me."

Whiting Library on Main Street in Chester, Vermont is pleased to present "Frieda Post: Realistic and Abstract" an exhibition of twenty paintings.

Frieda studied painting at the Studio School in Roanoke, VA and at Michigan Technological University. Her work has been exhibited in juried, individual and group show, in galleries and in private collections in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Frieda has taught workshops on several abstract techniques. She enjoys realistic art in authentic colors and abstract techniques that produce intricate patterns and details. She makes her home in Chester.

Realistic and Abstract may be viewed and enjoyed throughout the months of September and October during Library hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 10-6 and Saturday 10-2.
