You Are Invited To St. Luke's 79th Annual August Supper

posted Thursday, July 13, 2017

St. Luke's Annual August Supper on the Lawn is a cherished occasion for which so many anticipate with joy. All the cooks, servers, setup crew, carvers, etc., will tell you it provides joy both ways. Our guests are always well pleased. There are families who attend year after year from distances away from Chester. Proceeds enable St. Luke's to continue to support local, state, national and global charitable organizations.

Held on the beautiful back lawn of St. Luke's Episcopal Church at 313 Main Street in Chester, the date is Saturday, August 5th. Seating and serving is continuous from 5 to 7 p.m., rain or shine under two big tents. What does this banquet menu include? Ham, roast beef, turkey, potato salad, broccoli salad, coleslaw, jellied salads, cold soups, tossed green salad, baked beans, macaroni and cheese, pasta salads, beverages and the best fancy desserts from our famous cooks' kitchens. Food abounds aplenty and the hospitality is special whether it is an adult or child serving you. This is the 79th August Supper which now includes a silent auction of parishioner-donated items.

To reserve a seating time, call Anita Wright at 875-4031. Tickets are $15 for adults, children 6 to 12 are $7.50, and preschoolers are free. Learn more on our church website: www.stlukesepiscopalvt.org.
