Save The Date!

The Grateful Garden is looking for volunteers to fill the half-day seed sowing shifts on Thursday, April 19th and Friday, April 20th. We would like to have multiple volunteers to help out while the students come in for their-30 minute seed workshops.

We hope you will lend the Kindergartners through 6th graders a hand as they sow seeds using their recycled school lunch milk cartons as seed pots. Every student participant will sow 2 cartons of seeds, one for the Grateful Garden and one for him/her to take home. We will also offer a "Seed Lab" and a "Seed Story" where students will explore the magic of seeds and get the scoop on the seed growth process. Please let me know if you have any Clementine Boxes to donate for these workshops.

Stay tuned for more Seed Workshop schedule shift details coming soon. We are grateful for your support of our school & community garden @ CAES!

Great News! The Grateful Garden is one proud recipient of a 2012 flood relief grant that will help restore the garden beds on which Irene wrecked havoc on! Let's Grow!!
