The Springfield Community Chorus's First Summer Concert August 29 and 30

posted Monday, August 10, 2015

The Springfield Community Chorus will have its first summer concert on August 29th and 30th. They will be presenting a program of music from Broadway shows. Some members of the chorus will be performing duets and solos.

Director Ken Olsson has selected many familiar tunes as well as some lesser known but wonderful songs like "Never, Never Land" from "Peter Pan," "Shalom" from the musical "Milk and Honey" and "Put on a Happy Face" from the musical "Bye Bye Birdie". One of the well-known tunes being performed is a favorite, "Hello Dolly," from the musical by the same name.

The concert will take place on Saturday, August 29th at 7:00 pm in the UCC church in Ludlow and August 30th at 3:00 pm in the Congregational Church in Springfield.

Join us for a fun-filled concert of Broadway tunes. Admission is by donation. Come and support our local chorus heading to Carnegie Hall in NYC February 2016. Call 886-1777 for any questions about the concert.
