Holy Week at St. Luke's

St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 313 Main Street Chester is pleased to welcome everyone to our services during Holy Week and Easter, March 30 to April 5. Here are details:

Monday and Tuesday evenings in Holy Week (6:30pm) will be Evening Prayer. This service from the Book of Common Prayer features prayers, Scripture readings, and Psalms that relate to Jesus' final week in Jerusalem.

Wednesday evening (6:00pm) will be our annual Seder Meal to be held in Willard Hall. For more information, contact Bonnie & Lew Watters 875-2114.

Maundy Thursday liturgy (6:30pm) with foot washing and vigil watch afterwards. This service remembers the Last Supper Jesus shared with His disciples.

Good Friday Stations of the Cross will be held at 12:00 Noon.

Good Friday liturgy (6:30pm) - a somber service with prayers, psalms, dramatic readings and Communion from the Reserved Sacraments.

Great Vigil of Easter service (7:00pm). This service begins quietly with chants, prayers and extra Scripture Readings. Service concludes with a joyful celebration of Jesus' Resurrection at Easter. Reception to follow.

Easter Service (10:00am). Family service that will include children in worship. Reception to follow with Easter Egg hunt for the children.
