Springfield Community Chorus (VT) "Sounds of the Season" Christmas Concerts on December 7 and 8

The Springfield Community Chorus (VT) is pleased to announce the "Sounds of the Season" Christmas concert on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Chester, in Chester, VT and on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church, UCC in Springfield, VT.

We will be performing some holiday favorites including "Do You Hear What I Hear" and Two Spirituals, "Sweet Little Jesus Boy" and "Go Tell It On The Mountain." In addition to some light-hearted Christmas favorites we will also perform three versions of "Ave Maria" one featuring SATB, one featuring our women in 8 parts, and one featuring our men in 7 parts. There will be something for everyone and you won't want to miss this wonderful concert to celebrate the season! The Springfield Community Chorus is directed by Ken Olsson, who is in his third year of directing, and has put together an interesting blend of pieces. He comes with extensive experience in directing, accompanying, and performing and our concert will be a wonderful experience for all.

Springfield Community Chorus concerts are free to the public, though we do ask for donations, which enable us perform our concerts. Both churches are handicapped accessible, and will have an elevator operator on hand half an hour before the concerts.
