A celebration is afoot for Bonnie's Bundles Dolls in Chester's Stone Village. A Bundle Doll Reunion is planned for Saturday and Sunday, September 8 and 9. The two-day event marks 44 years of doll making for Bonnie Watters, 38 of them in Chester.

The Springfield Community Chorus, directed by Ken Olsson, welcomes all newcomers, from teen years on up. (Full-time students don't even have to pay our $30 per season dues!) This is his second year with us and we are looking forward to a wonderful year.

At the meeting of the Chester Conservation Committee this past Tuesday, the group decided to change the name. The change is intended to better reflect our purpose of fostering an awareness and stewardship of Chester's rich heritage of natural resources and outdoor educational and recreational opportunities. After much discussion the group decided on "Chester Nature Club".

Secretary of State Jim Condos announced today the successful completion of the first phase of an ongoing initiative to preserve and improve access to archival court records. Orleans County court records are now open for research by the public at the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration (VSARA) in Middlesex.
