Help is needed to finish up some work on the Lost Mine Trail this Saturday. If you can volunteer an hour or two to help cut in a new section of trail or clear trees and brush on the existing trail, please join us at parking area at the Chester Reservoir at 9:00 am.

Parents of preschoolers - join The Nature Museum on Thursday for our last Mighty Acorns program of this school year. This week's Mighty Acorns theme is Pond Ponderings. Through play acting and games, we will explore the wildlife that calls the pond home. With the help of nets and buckets, students will look for pond critters, get their hands wet, and have a wild time.

At its Annual Retreat in May, the St. Luke's Episcopal Church leadership accepted the resignation and retirement of the Rev. H. Paul Brannock-Wanter who has served this congregation for just over ten years. The St. Luke's community is planning a Farewell Celebration for a joyful sendoff to Father Paul on Sunday, July first following the 10 a.m. Holy Eucharist, which will be his last service.

Secretary of State Jim Condos will be making a presentation on Transparency in Government in Wolcott on Thursday, June, 7th, 2012. Similar to his 12-stop "Transparency Tour" that occurred last fall in towns all across the state, Secretary Condos will be discussing both the Public Records Law and the Open Meeting Law.
