A summer tutoring program of individual instruction will be held at Whiting Library. Each child will be taught, according to his particular needs and with support from home, should become a happy and confident reader.

Secretary of State Jim Condos announced today that the Vermont State Archives and Records Administration (VSARA), a division of the Office of the Secretary of State, is making steady progress on an initiative to preserve and improve access to Vermont's archival court records. VSARA recently completed processing of all Caledonia County court records from 1794 to 1945. Orleans County court records were opened for research in July 2012 and Lamoille County court records will be completed this summer.

Not to miss during Vermont Crafts Council Spring Open Studio is the "gang" who bonds together year in and year out in southern Windsor County. Working together to present our varied and talented group of painters and special artisans to attract visitors to our area, we begin by doing pickup of the familiar yellow advertising pieces and then showcasing the group in one of Vermont's premier welcome centers, Guilford. Displayed there with our literature we try to create a beacon to visit Chester and its surrounding towns like Andover, Grafton, Weston and Ludlow. Where to start?
