LEGOmaniacs Pre-K through Grade 8 and their families are invited to enter the first 2012 LEGO Contest and display their creations for others to admire. The event is open to the public and will be held 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Saturday April 14 at Willard Hall.

The Chester Conservation Committee [CCC] will sponsor one Chester-area student 12-16 years old to attend the State of Vermont's Green Mountain Conservation Camp this summer. One-week sessions, with separate camp sessions for boys and girls, run from June to August in two locations: Buck Lake in Woodbury and Kehoe Camp, located on Lake Bomoseen in Castleton. The $200 camp tuition fee will be paid by the CCC.

The Springfield Community Chorus, a group of about 40 singers, is in its 45th year of bringing choral music to the Springfield, Vermont, area. This year, for the first time, we will be singing two concerts for our spring season.

Ignat Solzhenitsyn will play a benefit concert to help restore the Greven baseball and softball fields in Proctorsville. The fields, dugouts, bleachers, bases, fences, snack shack and storage shed were destroyed or damaged during Tropical Storm Irene.

This will be the final hearing to determine the outcome of the Dollar General Store project. We've been told that there will be a short hearing to review the latest plan revisions from the developer and hopefully an opportunity for public comment. If so, this would be a great opportunity to simply state that you do not support the project and that the board should honor the Town Plan. They hope to adjourn the meeting early for deliberation and to make a decision.

Dr. Hicks has spent nearly two decades in the field of international conflict resolution, facilitating dialogue between communities in conflict in the Middle East, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Cuba, and Northern Ireland in addition to teaching conflict resolution at Harvard, Clark and Columbia Universities.

Between 1999 and 2010 Richard Weis visited South Korea on six occasions visiting artists in their studios, going to galleries and museums, and working with university art students. This presentation will introduce the audience to some very interesting contemporary Korean artists and some of the ways exchanges with these artists informed his work.
