The Chester Beautification Committee's fall project to beautify the town involved selling large Yellow King Alfred daffodils for people to plant on their own properties or for them to purchase and donate to the CBC to plant on Town land. While many residents ordered bulbs to plant on their own properties, the CBC particularly thanks those who donated their bulbs back to the CBC. As a result of tremendous community support for the "Light up Chester" campaign, volunteers were able to plant 1800 daffodil bulbs along the stone wall and around the Civil War monument outside the Brookside Cemetery and around the gazebo on the Village Green. |
